Hello my lovely readers!

As you may already know, I went to a video editing workshop last week at the Ladies Learning Code and was itching to put all that I learned to practical use. I wanted my first video to be somewhat easy to shoot and nothing too complicated, so I decided to go with an easy, but delicious non-dairy milk tea made with chocolate hazelnut tea and coconut milk. So here it is!

Choco-coco hazelnut tea “latte” from Divya Yadava on Vimeo.

So what did you think? I had a lot of fun making it, although I have to admit shooting yourself feels rather ridiculous. If only I had a camera-woman!

Anyways, moving onto the recipe…

Hello my lovely readers! Today, I’m sharing a delicious smoothie recipe that I also featured in my spring magazine. As you may have already noticed, I’m a HUGE fan of smoothies! And why is that? It’s because I’m usually lazy to have a proper sit-down breakfast in the morning, so a smoothie is a quick way to get all the nutrition I need to start my day. Today’s smoothie is rich in antioxidants and fibre. It’s also a great way to add some leafy greens to your diet without hiding them with sugar-laden fruit juices.

Hello hello! What plans do you have for the weekend? I’m working on the magazine this weekend (trying to finish the design), so I can start planning my photo shoots next week. Busy times ahead… So I wanted to make something quick and easy to start my day on the right foot. Here’s an anti-oxidant packed smoothie with an Indian twist. It’s got chai tea (who doesn’t love that!), cocoa powder for more anti-oxidants, chia seeds for fibre, probiotic yogurt, raw honey and my favourite ingredient – frozen bananas. Fibre…check! Fruit..check! Protein…check! And the taste…delicious!

Hello hello! It’s absolutely gorgeous outside today (well at least it looks that way from my window!), so I wanted to make something reminiscent of spring. It’s still pretty cold outdoors, but at least the sun’s shining. To bring a little more sunshine indoors, I made a green tea cooler with orange, peach and mango juice and a hint of lemon. It’s absolutely refreshing!

Chocolate smoothie

It’s the beginning of a new year and as expected, most of us have of resolutions. Problem is that it’s hard to stick to those resolutions unless you make them part of your lifestyle. It’s not hard, but it does require some effort. One of my resolutions for the new year is to eat breakfast every single day. Afterall, breakfast is the MOST important meal of the day,so you have to make it count! I plan to put an end to skipping breakfast this year in an effort to lead a healthier lifestyle.Sometimes, I’m not in the mood of eating in the morning, so I skip the meal altogether and end up feeling exhausted by lunch time. Not a good idea. If you’re not a morning person, a quick smoothie is always a great way to get the nutrition you need and this chocolatey smoothie is almost as good as dessert. Imagine starting your morning with blend of chocolate, berries, bananas and coconut… And it’s also great for your skin! Read on for the recipe and also beauty details from Connie at the Beauty Nerd.
