Part 4-Create your own magazine- Photography
Happy Tuesday! Today, I’m going to talk about my favourite resources for tips on food photography as part 4 of the “Create Your Own Magazine” series. When I first started the blog last year in late March, I had no clue what it took to take a good photograph of food. It wasn’t until August that I took a serious interest in improving my skills, especially for my magazine. I found many useful resources online, but it was hard to filter through all of it. So…I’ve compiled a list of sites and tips I found the most helpful in my journey. I hope this can help you too in your creative endeavours.
If you happened to miss the introductory post of this series, you can find it here. I have received a number of questions on how to create an online magazine and I’ll be addressing a few topics in a six-part series.
Part 3-Create your own magazine-Design
Hello my lovely readers! Today, I’m going to discuss how to complete the design framework of an online magazine as part 3 of the “Create Your Own Magazine” series. Completing the design was one of the most intimidating things about creating my magazine, at least in my opinion. I had no clue where to start and where I could find fonts, shapes and other things to enhance to layout of the document. I’ll cover everything related to design and a list of the best resources for inspiration and free commercial fonts.

Part 2-Create your own magazine-defining the vision
Hello my lovely readers! Today, I’m going to discuss how to define the contents and vision when creating your own magazine as part 2 of the “Create Your Own Magazine” series.
If you’re planning on creating your own online publication, having your vision nailed down before doing any of the design work or photo shoots is really helpful. You can then plan all the work accordingly. In this post, I plan to cover the thought process of defining the vision and coming up with the table of contents.

Part 1-Create your own magazine- Inspiration
Hello my lovely readers! So sorry for the delay with part one of the “Create Your Own Magazine” series. I’ve been down with the flu and you all know how that is. I’m much better now (just in time for the holidays!). So here’s the first part of the series which is on “inspiration“. We all know that without any inspiration, it’s hard to even start working on a creative project. In this post, I plan to cover the process of brainstorming. Are you looking for inspiration, but not sure where to find it? Look no further – I plan to include a whole bunch of my favorite online magazines, some of which are pure eye candy.

Exciting Announcement! Flavour Fiesta Magazine!
I am thrilled to make a very special announcement to you all today! All the wonderful feedback that I have received from my readers has inspired me to do something special for you in return.
Allow me to present to you the inaugural, premiere issue of Flavour Fiesta’s magazine! I have always dreamt of having my own magazine and today it’s here!
As most of you know, I started a food blog a few months ago as a way to connect with other foodies and share my thoughts and ideas. It’s been a fantastic experience, and I have met such incredibly talented people. This magazine represents all that I have learned since I began the journey. It’s been a lot of work (late nights!) to put this together, but when you love what you do, it’s all worth it.
In this issue, you’ll find a number of fall/autumn recipes that use fresh and natural ingredients in unique ways. I really hope you enjoy this magazine and I would love to hear from you. What did you like? What do you want to see more of? I look forward to all your suggestions and comments.
Here’s a peek of the cover page of the premiere issue. To access the magazine, you can either click on the image below or access the magazine through this link.
Happy cooking! I look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Divya
